Philippe Li is a foreign attorney who advises international clients conducting business in Korea and Korean companies conducting their projects in Europe and worldwide.

In recent years, Mr. Li has practiced both in Seoul and in Paris and has been involved in various prominent cross border transactions and dispute matters for multinational companies.

Mr. Li began his practice in Seoul in 1991 as the first European licensed attorney in Korea. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and dispute matters.

His recent representative works include cross-border transactions in Korea, US, Europe and Africa in the automotive, construction, aerospace, defense and IT industries.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Li led the firm-wide Korea practice at Jones Day. He also assisted US, European and Korean companies in a broad range of cross-border transactions and dispute matters.

Before Jones Day, Mr. Li worked at Kim & Chang where he advised on most of the CAC 40 French multinationals established in Korea and other European companies setting up in Korea through M&As, joint ventures, technology transfers, licensing, distributorships and agency agreements.
