Liz Chung has an extensive career with almost 25 years of experience as a judge, a law firm practitioner, an outside director for various boards, and an in-house lawyer for global companies. Liz served as a judge at the Seoul Central District Court and the Seoul Administrative Court for four years, before turning to private practice in 2003, to join Kim & Chang, the largest law firm in Korea. Her main areas of practice were international disputes, corporate compliance and risk management. In 2018, she turned in-house, first at Microsoft and now at Netflix. She currently serves as the Country General Counsel at Netflix Korea, located in Seoul leading the legal and public policy teams.
Liz earned her LL.B degree at Korea University, College of Law and LL.M degree at Harvard Law School. She is on the board of various corporations and nonprofit organizations, including Magnachip Semiconductor, NCSOFT, Korea Women Lawyers Association (KWLA), Korea In-House Counsel Association (KICA), and the Governing Body of the ICC Dispute Resolution Services. She also serves as an arbitrator and mediator. Liz is licensed to practice in Korea and New York state.
