Cristina Hwang is Associate General Counsel at Hanmi Financial Corporation/Hanmi Bank, a publicly traded bank holding company. Formerly, she was a Legal Counsel, Commercial and Contracts Department Manager for major engineering and construction projects at Odebrecht S.A., a Brazilian conglomerate. She worked on public and private Oil & Gas and Infrastructure projects in Argentina, the U.S., and Angola. Earlier in her career, Cristina worked at RMA&PR (now Dentons Rattagan Arocena) in Argentina, advising local and multinational companies on general corporate matters.

She serves on the board of directors of the International Association of Korean Lawyers, the Latina Lawyers Bar Association, and the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council. She is a former president of the Korean Argentinean Professionals Association and served on the board of directors of the ICA Korean international school and the Korean Argentinean Association.

Cristina is admitted in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in the State of California. She has an LL.B. from the University of Buenos Aires, a Masters in Law and Economics from Torcuato Di Tella University, and an LL.M. from UCLA.
